About The Artists Paula Cochran was born & raised in Oregon, Mostly in Salem (the states capitol). Paula began her interest in art at a very young age. She began her Leather career very early at the age of 20. In becoming a Leather Smith Paula owned her own shop in Salem for many years, honing her skills in the repair of all types of leather goods and creating many of her own. Paula's beautifully tooled leather goods are about the best you'll ever see. Everything she makes is hand worked, making the quality unmatched. Having been a Leather Smith for 28 years now, her work is incredible, sculpting leather into a fine work of art. Her uniquely designed & handcrafted Leather goods are a reflection of both her talents as an artist and her love for the Earth and Nature, making a most fabulous hand made CREATION. With interest of the Earth and things that are natural Cindy & Paula both love to create things that reflect that. Cindy Adams was born in California but her heart undoubtedly was Oregon Made. Deciding to move to Oregon at the age of 22 on a cold January day, it has been a decision she has never regretted. Oregon has been home to Cindy for 20 years now, raising two boys and a girl ( her 3rd, a daughter, born in Silverton, OR). She has & still does enjoy the many hiking pleasures that home has to offer, and truly believes there is no better place to live than Oregon. Cindy's artistic talents began to show at a very young age and has continued to develop ever since. Her development over the years has led her into media of all kinds, from painting and drawing to micro scrimshaw and wood work. Working with wood has got to be one of her greatest pleasures, even becoming masterful at the art of repairing and refinishing antiques, especially clocks (what a delight). Cindy also shares a love of working with leather, Sometimes combining the two. TODAY Cindy & Paula are designing and creating the most fabulous Writing Instruments. A MUST SEE! And their beautiful Leather Creations are certainly not to be missed.
