I have been making Polaris style pens a lot lately and am having a lot of fun with them, they are so much more versatile that I can be more creative. this Amboyna burl set is beautiful.
These below , I have been using horn and a really good alternative ivory so that I can scrimshaw. They are a bit more expensive, but can be customized to meet your needs, even put someone's name on them for that special one of a kind gift. I like using the alternative stone too, it's such good alternative material that as well as I am at identifying the real thing, if I had not known I would have had a hard time telling without doing a scratch test.

Pyrography (Writing with Fire) is most fascinating art form. I have been having loads of fun with this lately! I will be adding a pyrography page to the web-site soon, so check back, I will be offering some of this work for sale. I also do commissions....
The Native American Flute I have just recently started making Native American Flutes. This one was especially made for my Sisters Birthday. It takes me several weeks to complete one, but is incredibly rewarding. I use different woods, there are only just a few that have a good enough resonance. This one is made with a fiddle back Maple, and has a beautiful resonance. The Native Americans of the past also used Cedar, which has a great sound. I truly have a love for musical instruments and am now beginning to make a tongue drum (African instrument made from wood). I will soon have a picture of it here. I did the beadwork on this too.
The Bear Flute was made especially for a man in Jackson California. Using Fiddle back Maple once again, it was developed with the theme of the Bear

This is
our latest creation of writing instruments. This Pen and pencil set are
very unique. The Polaris style is a popular new style. It's elegant
design compliments the horn material beautifully. This Indian River
Buffalo Horn is sourced from managed domesticated herds, maintained by the
Indian Department of Husbandry and Dairying. This material was obtained
post slaughter and none of the animals were killed simply for their horns.
With this beautifully natural material having it's own wonderful unique
markings to each piece of horn and 24K Gold parts, It's truly a one of a
kind. A treasure for sure. Makes a great gift. I Sold three
sets of these beauties for Christmas gifts.
I can make a set for you if you are interested in
having One, or just the pen if that is what you would like. The
set can be made with either Gold, Titanium, or black chrome parts.
